Character Animation Sample
County of Alameda, 1:17

Simple character animation, suitable for explainer videos or anywhere an on-camera narrator is needed, but live-action is impractical. This kind of animation combines well with simple diagrams, text graphics and icons. Created specifically as a sample for the County of Alameda, May 2020.

Redding Water Utility, 11 minutes

A technical process explained in simple terms for children and the general public. On-camera hosted by the client, posted on the client’s website and on DVD. This program helped the Redding Water Utility become a finalist in a contest of outstanding communication.

Integrated Pest Management for Schools
California Dept. of Pesticide Regulation
90 minutes (broken into 10 episodes)

The people who maintain California’s public schools are supposed to take annual training which includes the subject of pest control. Unfortunately, schools don’t always have the budget to send everyone that they should to take the training. This series of 10 videos is designed to bring the training to the people who need it. Sample above is the full Episode 9, Turfgrass Weed IPM at Schools.

eIMAGE shot for ten days in a number of schools in Modesto and Livermore, California. We used up to three cameras to cover some segments, but the narration portions were shot film-style. The key to gathering 90 minutes of finished footage in such a short amount of time was to do meticulous scripting and pre-planning. And of course a hardy crew who could keep up with a breakneck 2-week shooting schedule.

The resulting series was released on DVD and posted online.

Miners’ Rights and Responsibilities
Cal/OSHA Mining & Tunneling Unit, 14 minutes

This is one of a pair of videos for miners. This one teaches miners about their rights and responsibilities as mining employees. Although the budget was very limited, the client wanted a dramatic approach, modeled after the Discovery Channel’s Gold Rush series. Daniel Gamburg’s drone work dressed up the rather didactic program which had to use a 20-year-old voiceover script.
